It’s Halloween. And it’s found its way into our lives with carved pumpkins, and whacky costumes. Cobwebs and bats adorn the table decor. It’s the perfect time for you and me to connect with our loved ones and get those long-overdue conversations going. Let’s sit around the fire, and create some magic. You bring a tale or two, and I will lay out a table full of drinks and food. How about we start with a shimmering cocktail to get everyone in the mood? I found the perfect one on Michelle Heath’s Blog, and I knew I just had to try it out!
You got a glimpse of it in the Halloween Table – Darkness Falls. Here is the recipe for the black as night cocktail, with just a touch of shimmer, for the right kind of mood setting. Whether serving it for a date night, or for a group of friends, this one has proven itself to be a hit.
Here is how we do it.

Simple syrup is just that, btw. Water and sugar mixed in equal amounts, and simmered over low heat till all the sugar melts. Strain and keep the liquid for later use. Check out the entire Halloween Themed Table as well. A stark, black and white theme for an adult Halloween party, chic and dark. remember we are just TWO tables down in the Table For Two Project, where I set up a different table setting, every single week, for almost a year. 52 weeks. 52 tables. And we are just getting started.
Are you planning/going for a Halloween party?
